This policy explains what data the UnplugFirst app for iPhone and Android uses, and what this website uses.
In short
UnplugFirst has no accounts, no ads and no tracking tools. It does not collect personal data. The app sends no data to D4U or anyone else; the full version is bought through the App Store or Google Play. What you do in the app stays on your phone. This website uses no cookies and only counts visits, without identifying you.
The app
The UnplugFirst app for iPhone and Android does not measure or track anything.
What the app reads, and when
To know when to warn you, while night mode is on the app reads, on your phone:
- whether the phone is plugged in, and its charge level;
- the phone's motion and position;
- the proximity sensor, to turn the screen off when the phone is face down.
These readings are used at that moment. They are not stored and never leave your phone.
What the app stores, and where
Only on your phone:
- your settings: the night screen and its brightness, the ways to warn and the flashlight's brightness, the sensitivity, the language and the appearance;
- whether you have already seen the welcome;
- whether the full version is unlocked.
No one else has access to this data, not even D4U. If you delete the app, it is deleted.
Purchases
The full version is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Those stores process the payment under their own privacy policies. D4U does not receive your payment details. The app only asks the store whether the full version was bought, to unlock it on this phone.
Phone permissions
- Vibration: for the warning, if you leave it on.
- Flashlight: only for the warning, and only if you turn it on in Settings › Warning.
- Location, contacts, camera, microphone and photos: the app does not use them.
This website
This website is unplugfirst.app. To know how many people visit, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. It only sees how many visits there are, which pages, from which country, which site they came from and what type of device. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is kept only in your browser. If this ever changes, this policy is updated first.
Children
The app does not ask for or store anyone's personal data, at any age.
Changes
If the app or this website changes what it does with data, this policy is updated and the date above changes.
